How does the Zero Output function respond in the event of the unbalanced load and dynamic Load



1. Unbalanced load scenario:

Hopewind inverter(s) will output balanced current on output AC line conductors, if load demand is not balanced across the phases then the zero-export function will still prevent power from flowing to the grid. To achieve this the inverter must limit the active power production to the lowest demand phase current value.

 2. Dynamic load scenario:

 When zero export function is enabled and there is a dynamic load, it will cause the inverter output power to be limited and could lead to increased import from the grid.

 

 Consequences of unbalanced & dynamic load:

1.      Limited power production of the plant from PV side.  

2.      Increased import from grid.

Note

 The minimum power of load requirement on each phase is 2% of rated power, otherwise the inverter will stop generating when zero export function is enabled.
